To obtain your Mongolian visa, you will need to submit the following documents:

Mongolian Visa Application Form

Please type or print clearly in block capitals and remember to sign and date the form at the bottom.

Passport

You will have to submit your passport along with your Mongolian visa application. It should have at least 6 months validity after your exit date from Mongolia. A full empty page is necessary in order for the Consulate to place the visa.

1 Passport-Type Photograph

One recent passport-type photograph is required. This should be similar in style to the usual passport-type photograph available from photo booths. Please attach your photograph to the application form with glue (NO staples please).

Mongolian Business Visa

To obtain a business visa for Mongolia, you will need to supply a letter from the relevant inviting organisation in Mongolia, which has been approved by the Immigration, Naturalisation and Foreign Citizens Office of Mongolia and authorisation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mongolia.

Mongolian Tourist Visa

Single entry and exit visas are issued to tourists for a maximum period of 30 days.

Double entry and exit visas are issued to tourists for an overall period of 3 months. However, each trip is only valid for a period of 30 days.

If you require a Mongolian tourist visa for more than 30 days validity, you will need to supply a supporting letter from the relevant inviting organisation. This letter must be approved by the Immigration, Naturalisation and Foreign Citizens Office of Mongolia.

Lodging Your Mongolian Visa Application at the Mongolian Consulate

Visa requests may only be passed to the Mongolian Consulate between 1000-1230 hours Monday to Friday.

Postal Mongolian Visa Applications

If you are posting your visa application to us, please check you have enclosed all the necessary documents listed above. We recommend you send your documents to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery service.

When will my Mongolian visa be ready?

All Mongolian visa applications are lodged at the Mongolian Consulate the next working day after we receive them. The Consulate's visa processing time is between 2 and 5 working days depending on how busy they are at the time. We shall make every effort to post your passport back to you on the day we collect it from it the Mongolian Consulate.

Normally, we shall send all passport back by Royal Mail Special Delivery (subject to a charge of £5). The courier delivery is available upon request (subject to an additional charge). If you are collecting in person, you will be able to have your documents the day we receive them from the Mongolian Consulate provided our messenger is back before 1800.

The cost of your Mongolian visa is made up of two charges:

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Consulate of Mongolia may change the procedures and visa requirements at any time without prior notice.

In the event of loss or damage to any passport or documents received, the liability of Overseas Business Travel and its trading divisions will be limited to the actual value of the passport & documents up to a maximum of £75 per applicant. Overseas Business Travel and its divisions accept no liability for consequential loss.

The Consulate's visa processing fee is not refundable.
