To obtain your visa to Kazakhstan you will need to submit the following
documents:
|
 |
Kazakh Visa Application Form
This should be completed in
black ink and in English. Please type or print clearly and remember to sign
and date the form. If the form is completed incorrectly the application will
be rejected. You can download the form from this
page, or we can fax/email or post one to you if you prefer.
If you are a travel document
holder, please note that the Kazakh Consulate will consider your visa
application, but may reject it. |
|
 |
Passport
You will have to lodge your
actual passport, which will remain at the Kazakh Consulate until the visa is
issued. It should have a validity of at least 6 months longer than your exit
date from the country. A full empty page is necessary in order for the
Consulate to place the visa. |
|
 |
1 Passport-Type Photograph
This should be similar in style
to the usual passport type photograph available from photo booths. |
|
|
Kazakh Visa Support Document (Invitation)
There are several types of
invitation, and the type you need will depend upon the purpose and length of
your visit.
The types of visa are listed
below.
Visa applications from citizens
of the countries listed at the top of this page do not require a
letter of invitation from Kazakhstan for stays of no more than one month.
All that is necessary is to
present a letter of introduction explaining the purpose of the visit. This
rule applies to diplomatic, service, business, tourist and private visa
applications.
If you have any difficulty in
obtaining an invitation, please
contact us,
we can help. |
|
 |
Other Documents
Passport holders of countries
not listed above may be required to provide additional documentation. Please
contact us
for further details.
Business, Private & Transit
visa applicants require additional documentation. Please refer to the
relevant visa type information listed below. |
The following guidelines need to be
followed in order to satisfy the Kazakhstan Consulate before they will issue
your visa:
KAZAKH BUSINESS VISA
If you need a visa support document
or your stay is longer than one month, it is necessary for your Kazakh partners
to obtain an invitation via the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs in Kazakhstan. Once their invitation is registered, the inviting party
should send the same invitation with its registration number to you. Once the
London Consulate has been sent details of your invitation from the authorities
in Kazakhstan they will be in a position to process your application. Kazakhstan
Travel Centre can obtain this invitation for you if necessary.
Business visa applications must be
supported by a letter from your UK employer detailing the purpose of your
visit.
KAZAKH
TOURIST VISA
If you need a visa support document
or your stay is longer than one month, confirmation of your accommodation from a
Kazakhstan-based tour operator must be submitted with your application.
Kazakhstan Travel Centre can obtain this for you, if necessary.
An accompanying letter confirming an intended trip to Kazakhstan is required. The letter should contain dates of travel and accommodation details.
KAZAKH PRIVATE VISA
If you need a visa support document
or your stay is longer than one month, an invitation for a private visa is
obtained by the Kazakhstan national through their local Interior Ministry
office. The original of this document must be sent to the invited party in order
to support their visa application. Foreign citizens born in Kazakhstan or
relatives (spouses, children and parents) of Kazakhstan passport holders may
apply for a 1 month visa without obtaining the invitation letter (maximum twice
a year).
Please note that private visas can
be only for single entry.
An accompanying letter confirming an intended trip to Kazakhstan is required. The letter should contain dates of travel and accommodation details.
KAZAKH TRANSIT VISA
Transit visas can be issued
provided you are holding valid visas for a third country and air/rail tickets to
that country. The transit visas can be issued as a single entry for a period up
to 5 days.
An accompanying letter confirming an intended trip to Kazakhstan is required. The letter should contain dates of travel and accommodation details.
